[LHDAccreditation] December Accreditation Updates & Announcements

Accreditation Work Group,

Here are some upcoming opportunities and save-the-dates that may be of
interest to those working toward accreditation:

1. There is a comprehensive *CLHO IM Webinar* on Thursday December 20th
10am-1pm. This webinar will cover many different IM programs and some of
the topics may be helpful for various accreditation-related work,
especially for those working on Community Health Assessments or for other
data-related needs. The agenda with webinar and call-in information is
attached.

2. At the last Accreditation Work Group meeting, we discussed how Health
Impact Assessments could potentially be used for certain documentation
requirements. The HIA Program at the Oregon Public Health Division is
offering to two small grants ($15,000 each) to local health departments and
their partners to conduct a health impact assessment. The extended deadline
is approaching and the RFP is attached. The new deadline is December 21st
at noon. Please call Andrea Hamberg, 971-673-0444, if you're considering
applying for the funds.

3. *Accreditation Work Group Meeting:* Save the Date for Monday February
11th 1:30-3:30. Agenda and location information will be sent out closer to
the meeting.

4. *Accreditation & QI Workshop**:* Save the date for *February 20th*. This
will be an in-person, hands-on work group session where you will have the
opportunity to work in small groups to share and self-score documentation,
discuss the standards and measures and there will be a speaker from the
NACCHO speaker's bureau to discuss QI & Performance Management topics. Workshop
will be held in Salem.

5. The *Accreditation GovSpace Website* is the place for all things related
to Accreditation and QI. You can find documentation examples and
documentation requested from state programs, templates and helpful resources,
notes and materials from our Accreditation Work Group meetings, and
participate in on-going discussions related to accreditation and quality
improvement. Please email Anona Gund at anona.e.gund at state.or.us with your

up.
