[Libs-Or] Job announcement: Talking Books Librarian at the State Library of Oregon (deadline 4/20)

Hello Libs-OR,
We’re recruiting for a Librarian at the Oregon Talking Book & Braille Library! We’re a unique library that serves print-disabled Oregonians of all ages, providing free audiobooks, Braille materials, accessible devices, and Reader’s Advisory support to over 4,000 active readers. We’re part of the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS)<https://www.loc.gov/nls/thatallmayread> network, a division of the Library of Congress.  We are also Oregon’s Center for the Book and a division of the State Library of Oregon.

The Librarian has their hands in all of the Talking Books pies: outreach, customer service, new technologies, promotion, documentation, strategy, and more. This role requires strong team communication skills, collaboration, adaptability, and informed decision making.

I’m happy to answer any questions about the position and our division. I will be available OLA in Eugene - at our State Library booth, presenting a session on Talking Books, and at the Center for the Book Author Fair. OLA happens after the application deadline, but it never hurts to apply and ask questions later 😊
