Hello all!
I have shared previously about the Trauma-Informed Care for Libraries course offered by consultant and former librarian, Nisha Mody. There are some important updates about this course below, as well as more details about course content for anyone interested in learning more.
I also wanted to remind folks about the OLA EDI & Antiracism Committee professional development scholarships<https://ola.memberclicks.net/ola-edi-antiracism-scholarships>. Individuals or full work-teams can apply.
Best Regards,

Subject: [CLAtalk] UPDATE to Trauma-Informed Course for Libraries
Hi everyone!
Going forward, I will onboard new people for my course, Trauma-Informed and Relational Care for Libraries<http://www.traumainformedlibraries.com/> in June (3 months away!). That means it will run one time per year going forward.
I do this as a trauma-informed gift to myself, and to make it more streamlined for you! This is a very in-depth course, and I want to be very intentional in how I share it with you. You will still have lifetime access to the digital content and any future Q&As, but there will only be 1 orientation per year. You can take a tour of the course here<https://nishamody.myflodesk.com/tircltour>, and here are details about the course<http://www.traumainformedlibraries.com/>.
<http://www.traumainformedlibraries.com/>
What this means is that the course will run for 6 months of the year, June-November. I have organizational pricing and options for price reductions for those who don't have PD fund access.
If you or your organization are interested in investing in this thorough and intentional course, please message or email me. I'm happy to answer any questions! You can also set up a time to chat with me here: https://healinghypegirl.as.me/tirclconsult
Here's what Dominic experienced:
"Nisha Mody's course was a breath of fresh air for me as a library employee but even more so as a person. Too often we feel the need to code switch between who we are as individuals and who we are as colleagues, supervisors, and workers. Taking the time to check-in with yourself and, by consequence, integrating that invaluable knowledge towards those we work and interact with everyday, is a game changer. Mody is a charismatic and knowledgeable instructor who clearly practices what she preaches. I found this course to be enlightening and a way to move forward in your personal journey while becoming aware of the ripples you make along the way. So empowering and rewarding. Could not recommend this course enough." - Dominic Romano, Interlibrary Loan Assistant, UCSC
Warmly,
Nisha
