Karen

We (Virginia) had one request for extension under CAREs (only one, praise be). We were told to wait until late July/early August, but we asked for and received the extension. In working out the details, Teri was very accommodating of our inability to truly pin this down due to supply chain issues. We told her we thought it would be November but the products ended up being delivered and installed in December. I simply have IMLS updates and they were great. Takeaways: wait until there is now way to have everything done by the deadline but make sure they know about the possibility of an extension request; if and when an extension is requested, communicate frequently in case you have to push the deadline further out.

Good luck
John

If anyone has asked IMLS for an extension for ARPA funds yet, how long have you asked for. My understanding from the CARES Act is that 3 months is an "easy" request. But my first ARPA grantee who has had their equipment delivery date pushed into the fall sounds like 3 months may not be long enough. Thanks for any information.
