Hey Debbie,

We do this regularly.  We have learned to book the hotels directly (to control price) and order food in-house (to keep them from returning late from lunch).  Even if you don’t do this, reimbursing them is fine.   It is all allowable including mileage.  We make them provide Google map for mileage.

This is very similar as when IMLS brings us to grants to states conferences.

How do you cover the costs of participants in training of library staff.

Do you cover hotel if they travel over a certain number of miles? Do you cover meals (reimbursement)?

We have an Arkansas Library Leadership Institute and our Project Director wants to cover all expenses (except mileage).

Do any of you use LSTA funds for events like this?
