[lstac] Consulting for Construction Projects

?I learned something today that everyone else probably already knows, but I thought I'd share.


According to our Program Officer, consulting work - such as a needs assessment - is not considered construction work - even though it may be related to construction projects or activities.  So long as the vendor is not providing actual "hammer and nail" construction services, it would be considered an allowable expense.


I always thought anything associated with a construction project was unallowable.  I'm glad to hear that's not the case.
