Good morning, friends & colleagues,
I was going to say ‘Happy Friday!”, but luckily checked my calendar. It’s going to be one of those days, I guess.
I’m attaching the Chat GPT poem created for our librarian’s retirement party. Hope you enjoy it.
The actual reason to write is to recommend a series of books, The Best Friends Book of Alzheimer's Activities by Virginia Bell, David Troxel, Tonya Cox, and Robin Hamon. There are two volumes of activities as well as a day planner and a volume that explains their approach. I think you may find them useful for senior program planning and they are a step ahead of what have been considered ‘activities for older adults’. I think they have lots of ideas that are applicable to non-dementia adults in the over-50 age group. (That’s my demographic! 😊)
