[lstac] Draw down question

For Arizona:
1. When do you start spending your award? Do you spend in both years of the award or just in the second year?
* We start spending in the second year except for subgrant awards, which can be requested any time from the date of award (usually late May). This year, however, has been an exception. We asked subgrant awardees to request their funds ASAP. We also frontloaded a lot of subscription purchases that we usually leave for the second year.
2. How often do you request a drawdown of your awarded funds?
* Like Missouri, we had moved to twice per month to match the state pay cycle; however, this year it's been every 30 days, which is about how long it takes us to fully expend the previous drawdown.

Missouri:
1. When do you start spending your award? Do you spend in both years of the award or just in the second year?
* Missouri spends in both years
1. How often do you request a drawdown of your awarded funds?
* Missouri under normal circumstances requests a drawdown twice per month based on the state pay cycle. We have been requesting weekly drawdowns for the past several months and waiting until the funds are in the account before making the payment (takes about two weeks).
Thank you,
Terry

Jennifer, Michigan is similar. But we do have some costs that are charged in a calendar year so we recode those that fall into the next award's time period as soon as we get the allotment.

Good morning from rainy Tennessee!
I've got two questions regarding how other states approach spending. If you have a chance to reply, it'll be appreciated. How TN handles these questions is included, in case you're curious as well!
1. When do you start spending your award? Do you spend in both years of the award or just in the second year?
* Tennessee spends in the 2nd year
1. How often do you request a drawdown of your awarded funds?
* Tennessee typically requests a drawdown quarterly
Thanks in advance!
Jennifer
