Princess for a Day 2014
was a Royal Success!!



[http://ih.constantcontact.com/fs145/1101512703495/img/4963.jpg]A Family For Every Child had the honor of hosting 360 princesses at this years Princess For A Day Event on Sunday March 2nd.



Each girl was able to take their time to pick out just the right dress, get their hair and make up done, and finally dance the day away with their prince charming. This is truly a community event and could not have been possible without the support and commitment given by so many volunteers, donors, and community partners.







Every girl had the time of their life!



"On Monday, her caseworker came by and she told her about all of the things that she did.  From dressing up, to dancing, to getting to eat ice cream.
Also, I would like to thank everyone that helped put on the event.  It was really nice and all of my girls, also, had a really good time.  They still talk about it."   - A Princess Parent

This event is FREE for ANY foster child ANYWHERE!


A Family For Every Child's first annual A Hero For A Day event will be on Sunday, April 6, 2014. On this day, boys ages 2-18 will be treated like a hero. This event is designed to raise awareness for foster children in Oregon and make all boys feel special.

Heroes (children) should arrive on time to pick up their passport and meet their assigned captain. All Heroes must wear clothing that allows them to run, jump, climb, and play. Tennis shoes are required. We have 10 fun filled stations for all attending Heroes!
1.   Real Fire Truck, Fire Safety activities and fire hat provided by the Eugene/Springfield Fire Department
2.   Inflatable Fire Truck Slide provided by the Eugene/Springfield Fire Department
3.   Inflatable Bounce House Obstacle Course provided by the Eugene Emeralds
4.   Boys can assemble flying machines and test them in the Vertical Wind Tunnel provided by The Science Factory
5.   Football Obstacle Course with University of Oregon Athletes
6.   50 meter race with University of Oregon Athletes
7.   Super Hero Photo Booth
8.   Fly Fishing Lessons provided by Cabelas
9.   Food Court provided by Togos, Big Town Hero, Dutch Bros, and Cosmo Corn
10.                Hero Accessory Station
Also attending Hero for a Day will be the University of Oregon mascot, the Duck, Batman, Superman, and Ironman from Portland Super Heroes collation, and University of Oregon Collegiate athletes.


A Hero for a Day is free for foster boys and $50 for community boys. This will help supplement the cost of the event. During the last two weeks of registration, registrants should pick up their tickets at the event.
