Attention CAMI Grantees:
CAMI MDT Grant Applications will be released in E-Grants February 13, 2017. Applications will be due through E-Grants on March 29th at 12 noon Pacific Standard Time. In preparation for the application process, please review the feedback provided for your 2015-17 grant application (found in the grant application in EGrants under Modification Requests) and be prepared to respond to how your team addressed the requests and feedback provided. Also, ensure that your protocols have been reviewed within the past two years and that all protocols clearly indicate the date of last review. Teleconferences orienting team members to the CAMI Grant will be held as follows*:
February 21, 2pm-4:30 pm: 1st Applicant Teleconference
February 28, 10am- 12:30 pm: 21st Applicant Teleconference
March 2, 1:30 – 4pm: 3rd Applicant Teleconference
March 8, 9:30am – 12pm : 4th Applicant Teleconference
*Attendance is required at one of these teleconferences for all applicants (the individual who is primarily responsible for completing the application on behalf of the MDT) as well as at least two additional MDT members designated by the County’s CAMI MDT Chair. Additional members of the MDT are welcome and encouraged to attend. The goal of requiring attendance is to ensure every MDT is well oriented to the purpose and requirements of the grant. Registration information will be forwarded to MDT Chairs, Coordinators and this listserv in January.

Call to Safety has two support groups beginning at the first of the year. One for adults who were sexually assaulted as adults, and one for childhood trauma survivors. If you are working with a survivor who is interested in either group, please refer them to our crisis line at 5803-235-5333. Attached are fliers with more information. National Center for Fatality Review & Prevention: Webinar
Please see the attached webinar announcement for Building Effective Partnerships for Fatality Review which will be held on January 11, 2017 at 2pm EST. Dr. Carolyn Cumpsty-Fowler will be presenting on different aspects of partnerships as strong and diverse partnerships are the foundation of a successful mortality review team. Partnerships are vital for all aspects of mortality review work, including reviewing deaths, abstracting and collecting data and identifying and implementing prevention recommendations. This webinar will focus on identifying and engaging new partners, identifying methods for improving collaboration with existing partners, and best practices in partnership building.

Guidelines Forensic Interview Structure, which is designed to gather the greatest
amount of reliable information in a child-sensitive, developmentally-appropriate,

evidence-based, supported by current research, and approved by the National
Children’s Alliance to meet the Forensic Interview Training Standards. This
training is typically attended by Center-Based Child Forensic Interviewers, Law

Victims’ Rights Law Center is Hiring for a full-time lawyer for their Portland, Oregon, office. This 3-year, VOCA-funded position will join VRLC’s legal services team, and be responsible for providing direct representation to minor and adult sexual assault survivors in the tri-county area. In addition, the lawyer will launch a statewide project both representing and providing assistance to pro se transgender survivors statewide who need help with gender marker document changes, for safety or privacy-related reasons. (This component of the project also involves recruiting, training and mentoring law students and pro bono lawyers who will help us service trans survivors statewide.)
