Funding Opportunity
The Oregon Department of Justice (DOJ), Crime Victims' Services Division (CVSD) is releasing the 2016-2019 VOCA Competitive Request for Application (RFA) through the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) grant funds today, Monday May 2, 2016 with an application due date of Monday June 20th, 2016. The VOCA awards for this competitive grant cycle will be from October 1, 2016 - September 30, 2019. Applications must be initiated on or before Friday June 3, 2016 through the CVSD E-Grants system.
The primary purpose of the VOCA funds is to extend and enhance direct services to victims of crime. Eligible organizations must provide services to crime victims and be operated by a public agency or nonprofit organization, Native American Tribe/organization[1], or a combination of such agencies or organizations. The RFA is attached for quick reference which includes additional information regarding eligibility criteria, general application guidelines, grant application contents, and other relevant information. This RFA will be available in CVSD E-Grants and on the CVSD website at: http://www.doj.state.or.us/victims/pages/voca.aspx.
Applicants should note the following:
1. Agencies already registered in the CVSD E-Grants system should update the Organization Information as necessary, and initiate an application by Friday June 3, 2016. Application MUST be initiated no later than this date.
2. Agencies who are new to the CVSD E-Grants system must register in the system and initiate an application no later than Friday June 3, 2016. CVSD E-Grants can be found at: www.cvsdegrants.com<http://www.cvsdegrants.com>
3. All applications will be completed and submitted via the CVSD E-Grants system:

training for victim advocates. SVAA provides comprehensive, academic-based, fundamental

The Children's Advocacy Center of Jackson County seeks a highly qualified Nurse Practitioner to perform medical evaluations of suspected child abuse victims. The provider shall conduct examinations in the clinic setting, and will also participate in child abuse prevention efforts and education. Pediatric experience is required, and knowledge in the diagnoses and treatment of child maltreatment is preferred. Duties would include direct patient care in the Children's Advocacy Center clinic to include some after hours and on call coverage. The provider shall be supervised by the CAC Medical Director. The provider would also be required to testify in the event of legal proceedings. The Children's Advocacy Center is looking for a highly motivated professional to join our mission which is to provide a compassionate, multidisciplinary approach to the prevention, treatment, identification, investigation, and prosecution of child abuse.
