Based on feedback from local Fatality Review Teams, Oregon Health Authority created individual PDF forms for each profession involved in collecting information for fatality review. [Last month, the Department of Justice announced the launch of "Changing Minds," the first national campaign to raise awareness, teach skills, and inspire public action to address children's exposure to violence and trauma. Established through the Department's Defending Childhood Initiative, the national education campaign features digital and print content intended to reach adults who interact with children and youth in grades K-12. The multiyear campaign will engage teachers, coaches, counselors, doctors, nurses, law enforcement officers, and other professionals and caregivers on proven ways to help heal the damage of childhood trauma. [The Office for Victims of Crime Tribal Multimedia Resources has released "A Healing Journey for Alaska Natives, an educational series is designed for federal, state, local, and tribal victim service providers, criminal justice professionals, and others who work with Alaska Native victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. There are four online videos in this series, and they are well worth the time to view for any MMMers who work with Tribal survivors. This January NCVLI will host the Voices for Justice Reception, a celebration of Oregon's leadership in protecting, enforcing and advancing victims' rights. As you know, when victims' voices are heard and their rights are protected, the entire community benefits.
Supporting victims takes the work of many. We want to honor those making outstanding contributions to ensuring that our justice system honors victims' voices. But we need your help. If you know someone doing amazing work on behalf of victims, nominate them for the Voice for Justice Award so they receive the recognition they deserve. The Award is open to attorneys, advocates, allied professionals and organizations.

DHS CSEC Coordinator
The primary purpose of this position is to plan, develop and maintain the Commercial Sexual Exploitation and Sex Trafficking (CSEC) program. This position will represent the agency and act as spokesperson for the CSEC Program with other agencies, local jurisdictions, community organizations, federal government and Oregon Legislature. The CSEC Coordinator will provide consultation, training, technical assistance, and guidance to District Managers (DM), Child Welfare (CW) Managers, CW Supervisors, CW Caseworkers, local and state-level government, and community organizations on subject matter related to and including Commercial Sexual Exploitation (CSEC) and sex trafficking victims. The services provided by the CSEC coordinator will be initiated using multiple methods of communication including: on-site and in person communication, video conferencing, telephone, email, and any other acceptable form of communication that allows the consultant to understand the concern and to convey information.
