Reminder: June 30 is the deadline for all benefit selections.

 

The Oregon Educators Benefit Board will offer two new benefit options
for the 2010-11 plan year: long term care insurance and an employee
assistance program. Educational entities have until June 30 to register
for these benefits in the MyOEBB administrative system. Below is a brief
overview and more information is attached.

Long term care insurance, offered through Unum Life Insurance Company of
America, provides a monthly benefit amount when someone needs assistance
with activities of daily living, such as bathing and dressing, due to an
accident, illness or advancing age. Entities can choose to offer an
employer paid plan or a have employees apply for coverage and pay
premiums - either way OEBB members can take advantage of group rates and
guarantee issue coverage. The plan design options are attached.
