[MyOEBB] OEBB "Exchange Notice" Update

[MyOEBB system updates]

Dear Benefits Administrators, Superintendents & Business Managers -

Below is a quick update on OEBB's efforts to assist entities with the federal healthcare reform "Exchange Notice" requirement:


*         On August 26, 2013, OEBB mailed the federally required "Exchange Notice" to all members who had an active employment segment in the MyOEBB system on August 15, 2013. Samples of the letters can be found on the Healthcare Reform page of the OEBB website: http://www.oregon.gov/oha/OEBB/Pages/HealthCareReform.aspx

*         Educational entities have until September 30, 2013 to notify those employees who were not included in the OEBB mailing. This includes employees who are not benefits-eligible as well as employees who are benefits-eligible but were added to the MyOEBB system after we pulled our addresses on August 15, 2013. OEBB is currently developing templates and instructions to help you fulfill this requirement. These templates and instructions will be posted to the OEBB website no later than September 1, 2013, and we will notify you by email when they are available. Do not use the OEBB samples as templates.

*         To determine which of your employees received the OEBB notification, please reference your August invoice. All employees on your August invoice were included in this mailing. If any additional employees were included (for example, a new hire added to the system prior to August 15 but after the August invoice was generated) you will find a report in your document management area of the MyOEBB system titled "Exchange Mailing not on August Invoice". These members were included in the OEBB mailing in addition to those listed on your August invoice. If you do not have a report with this title in your document management area, then the August invoice is the complete listing of your members who received the OEBB mailing.
