Hello,

MyOEBB has completed the first major rollover prior to our open enrollment. Along with this rollover OEBB incorporated some new looks and functionality in the Admin Module (along with the Member Module). These changes will provide consistency between the Admin and Member Modules.

Some of the changes you will see are:

  * Admin will enter race, ethnicity and tobacco usage upon saving an enrollment rather than saving at member setup. You will still see it located in the same spot but it will only be required at the enrollment save. All of these questions are included on the Member Enrollment forms so you should not have to ask or guess.
  * Under Enrollment Management you will now notice that the Last Name and First Name fields are greyed out. This is to prevent someone from typing over the names and changing them from that location. You can still open up Member Info and update information.
  * In the Admin Module, you will notice a (b) on the Enrollment Management screen next to dependents that have a 12-month waiting period on dental and vision plans. This allows you to immediately look-up and immediately know who is subject to the waiting period. This (b) will not appear in the Member Module, as members would most likely not understand what it means.
  * Plan text may appear in red font, this means that the enrollment is either unsaved or declined.
  * The red X is how you remove enrollments during open enrollment or with certain QSCs. The change boxes are now gone. Once a plan is removed you can click on the link to re-enroll.
  * You will see Terminated Enrollments at the bottom of the Enrollment Management screen in black without a termination heading.
  * You will now see pended (requiring Medical Evidence) enrollments in bold orange on the Current Enrollments. This would be for Optional Life, Voluntary Long-term Care and Voluntary Short and Long Term Disability.
  * You will experience fewer pop-ups which were sometimes lost behind other opened windows. You will see more screens that move back and forth using a Back to Enrollments button.
  * When enrolling members which have completed their Health Assessments (spouse/partner also if applicable), you will encounter a Healthy Actions screen which will ask you to record the two actions the member and their spouse/partner (if applicable) completed. This screen will enable you to only see Healthy Futures medical plans for enrollment.
  * As demonstrated in the last BIE meeting, you will enroll members in plans by using radio buttons to select the plan and their dependents. We anticipate you will find this approach to be more user friendly.
  * Updates to the Benefit Summary will include showing the medical homes selected for each enrolled individual, Heathy Futures participation for the upcoming plan year and Healthy Actions completed for the current plan year. Once again, if enrollments are unsaved or declined, they will appear in red font.
  * Members will be enrolled in the appropriate Optional Employee Life and Optional Spouse/Partner Life based on the answers provided for their tobacco usage questions. Members may update any information that is no longer accurate, during this open enrollment period.

We hope you find these changes beneficial and easier to use. We incorporated many of these changes due to suggestions from our entities. If you find any issues or have questions please contact us. Thank you and we hope you have a successful open enrollment!

Thanks,
Linda Freeze
