[MyOEBB] OEBB’s Open Enrollment Mailing Delayed

Dear Business Managers, Superintendents and Benefits Administrators:

As you may know, we ran into some complications when preparing our Open Enrollment information booklets for printing and distribution this year.  Although we originally believed the hard copy booklets would be in the mail earlier this week, we have now learned that it is possible some could be delayed by as much as 10 additional business days. This means some members who chose to receive hard copy materials via the mail could potentially not receive their packets until around Labor Day. This is not acceptable, but we are now dealing with competing priorities with our printers and our distributors.

Members who indicated that they prefer email should have received their information yesterday.  In an effort to deliver the information as quickly as possible to all members, we will be sending similar personalized emails to all members who indicated they prefer hard copy as well, provided they have an email address in the MyOEBB system. These emails include a personalized cover letter that explains the plan options available to them as well as a link to the electronic version of the booklet on our website. Members may also access the Informed Enrollment plan comparison tool in MyOEBB to assist them with their plan selections. We expect this next batch of emails to go out no later than early Tuesday morning (they will be processed overnight to avoid slowing the MyOEBB system). The hard copies will still go out in the mail as soon as they are available.

I am sorry for the delayed distribution of this important information.  Please know that we are already taking steps to ensure that this does not happen again in the future.
