[MyOEBB] Updates to Age 65 processes/reports

[MyOEBB system updates]

Dear OEBB Benefits Administrators -

We've made some improvements to the monthly jobs/reports related to Early Retirees and Spouses/DPs of Early Retirees turning age 65.

Starting May 1, 2024, the monthly jobs will search for anyone in Early Retiree plans turning age 65 (either as the subscriber or as a dependent) and will process the following enrollment changes automatically:


  *   If your entity does NOT allow Dental Only coverage after age 65:

o   all benefits will end the day before Medicare eligibility begins



  *   If your entity DOES allow Dental Only coverage after age 65:

o   All benefits except dental will end the day before Medicare eligibility begins

o   Dental coverage will remain in place uninterrupted. If the member does not want to continue dental coverage, they will need to let you know and you will need to end the dental coverage manually.

o   If a Retiree turning 65 has a younger Spouse/DP continuing medical and/or vision coverage:

? all enrollments will end the day before Medicare eligibility begins;

? the younger Spouse/DP will be promoted to subscriber status under their own account; and

? the retiree turning 65 will be enrolled in dental as a dependent under the younger Spouse/DP's account



     *   You will get separate reports - one for Retirees turning 65 and one for Retiree Spouses/DP's turning 65. The month shown in the report title will reflect the day the report ran (for example, on May 1st both reports will show "May" in the title).

We made these changes based on feedback from you all. We hope they improve your experience.
