Hello OEBB interested parties,

Big News! OEBB has decided to have a passive open enrollment this year to give members and entities a break.

Why?
We made the decision for a couple reasons:

  * Benefit changes are minimal this year. It's a perfect opportunity to make re-enrolling simple and automatic.
  * OEBB staff are working hard to bring you and your employees a new modernized Benefits Management System, hopefully in time for the 2025-26 plan year. Pausing mandatory enrollment this year allows us to keep our focus on these important design and transition activities.

What does this mean?

  * If employees are satisfied with their current benefit plan selections, their enrollments will roll over to the next plan year. They'll be re-enrolled automatically! They don't need to do anything. Benefits will stay the same.
  * If your entity keeps the same plan offerings, your employees only need to login if they want to make changes.
  * If your entity changes plan offerings, your employees need to login to MyOEBB to check their enrollments and confirm their plans are still available.
     * If a current plan is no longer offered, they will have to select another option.
     * If they don't login and select another option, they may not have coverage for the 2024-25 plan year.
  * If your employees want to make benefit changes, they need to login to MyOEBB and make their selections during open enrollment.

We're excited to offer everyone a break this year. However, if your entity chooses to have a mandatory enrollment, be sure to clearly communicate this to your employees.

The OEBB communication materials will have passive open enrollment messaging and a reminder for employees to confirm with their employer. As always, OEBB staff will be available to help open enrollment go smoothly.

Thank you and enjoy the break this year!
OEBB
