Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the Privileged Attachments issue! Here is what we found:
While most agencies said they do not use this folder, there are a few who do and who provided legitimate business purposes, such as uploading insurance certificates to contracts. I also had our system developer pull me a report of all existing documents containing Privileged Attachments. (There are about 300.) Something to keep in mind is if we decide to hide the folder completely, the privileged attachments on all existing documents will be unavailable to internal folks.
Knowing all of this, we would like to offer an alternative to hiding the folder. The developer has confirmed that they can add a warning in bold red letters on the Privileged Attachments page. They sent me a screenshot from their own Test environment (which is slightly different than ours) but it would look something like this:

What do you think? I'm hoping this will be a happy medium to both alleviate confusion and allow agencies who do use the folder to continue doing so. Feel free to send me any feedback. Otherwise, we will proceed with this change by installing a system patch within the next few weeks.
Enjoy this gorgeous sunshine! :)

Hello OAC's,
We could really use your input on the following issue:
You may not have noticed it before, but there is a special folder under the "Additional" menu option on opportunities called "Privileged Attachments". Any attachments posted in this folder are not available for suppliers to view- they are only available to internal agency users. This often causes unnecessary confusion for both the buyers and the suppliers. If the buyers accidentally posted an attachment here that was meant for suppliers to see, the suppliers won't be able to find it and the buyer will have to do an addenda to the opportunity to put the attachment in the right place.

To address this, we are considering turning off (hiding) the "Privileged Attachments" folder for everyone. Before we do this, we want to check with all of you first. Can anyone think of a legitimate use for this folder? Are there any agencies using this now?
Thank you in advance for any information you can share with us! :) Have a great evening.
