Great news - they have corrected the Internet Explorer display issue! If you are already in ORPIN please close out and come back in. It should finally display and work correctly!!!!

Hi OAC Group!

Just checking in with everyone and see how things are going now that we've installed the upgrade. There are a few issues I want to share that we are aware of and currently working on. Here are details and screenshots of those issues:


1.      Issues with Internet Explorer displaying the site for state users:
If your agency uses Internet Explorer to access the web, chances are that the ORPIN system is not displaying correctly for you. The error prevents the photo from displaying on the main page, the system menu bars are not left-justified, and document layouts are messed up. Here are screenshots of what the main page should look like compared to how it is displaying for government IE users:

The good news is this display issue seems to only be affecting state agencies and some local governments. We do not know of any suppliers/vendors who are experiencing this issue. We've got technical support staff and our system developer working on it so we hope to find a resolution soon.
(Note: If you are using IE and the display is working correctly for you, please let us know! This will help us in our troubleshooting. So far OMD is the only agency we know of that is not having problems with IE display.)

2.      Keypad to generate document numbers:
If your agency has permission to use "volunteered" numbers on documents, there will be a keypad icon next to the Document Number field. You should be able to click on this icon to prompt ORPIN to give you the next available number from the number wheel. This icon is not working. This is a bug and will be addressed in a patch later this week or early next week. In the meantime, you can just type a number in manually.

3.      Document Number Length in ORS190's:
The maximum length of document numbers for ORS190's was inadvertently shortened to 5 characters. We will get a fix for this in the next patch, but in the meantime we can manually extend it for individual agencies. If your agency needs this corrected before we get the patch, just email us at the Help Desk (info.orpin at oregon.gov<mailto:info.orpin at oregon.gov>) to request the update.

4.      Response Receipt on Bids:
When entering a statement within the Bid Review Comments box if you accidentally hit 'enter' the screen will disappear and you will need to re-enter the data. The next patch will remove the ability for the enter key to close the window.
