Rogue River Spring Chinook Conservation Planning Committee to Meet in
Central Point


ROSEBURG - A meeting of the public advisory committee that is helping
the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife develop a conservation plan
for Rogue River spring chinook will be held Tuesday, Aug. 24, in Central
Point. The public may listen to committee proceedings. 

With input from the public advisory committee, ODFW biologists are
developing the state's first conservation plan under the Native Fish
Conservation Policy. A draft of the Rogue River Spring Chinook
Conservation Plan is expected to be released to the public for comment
next summer.

The public advisory committee meets monthly from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30
p.m. at the ODFW Central Point office, 1495 East Gregory Road, Central
Point. Reasonable accommodations will be provided as needed for
individuals requesting assistive hearing devices, sign language
interpreters or large-print materials. Individuals needing these types
of accommodations may call the ODFW Director's Office at 800-720-6339
