Commission announces special meeting to select ODFW Director

SALEM - The Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission today announced a
special meeting July 6 in Salem to consider the appointment of a
director for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife. 

The meeting begins at 1 p.m. at ODFW Headquarters, 3406 Cherry Avenue.
The Commission will go immediately into an executive session, as
permitted by law, to discuss the two finalists under consideration,
Interim Director Roy Elicker and Virgil Moore, Idaho Department of Fish
and Game's Fisheries chief.

Following the executive session, the Commission will convene in a public
meeting to make a decision on the appointment of a director. 

The seven-member Commission is the rulemaking body for fish and wildlife
issues in Oregon.
