[ODLC] Overdrive updates coming

Hello ODLC members,

Please read on for changes coming to Overdrive and share with your
libraries.

Overdrive has new features coming on March 21, and the official sunsetting
of Overdrive App-related features coming on May 1, 2023. An email from
Overdrive with details should arrive in the inbox of every ODLC member with
an Overdrive Marketplace account by the end of this week.

Of note:

*The official sunset date of the Overdrive app is May 1, 2023.*
Beginning March 21, Overdrive will ramp up communications with users about
the Overdrive App and its associated features going away.
Through in-app messaging, users will be directed to use Libby if they are
still using the Overdrive app.

The Recommend to Library (RTL) *feature **will be discontinued across all
platforms on May 1*.
Messaging in the RTL experience will inform users about this change and
encourage them to use Libby to discover and express interest in titles that
are not yet in our collection.
This means a change in the ordering process for the ODLC Selection
Committee. We are working on strategies to adjust the ordering of requests
and will share updates with ODLC members by the April 26, 2023 governing
board meeting.
*Deep search & Notify Me updates*
On March 21, Libby will release the new deep search feature for users to
discover and add *Notify Me* tags to titles that are not in our collection.

• Options for Kindle Fire devices: Amazon has not yet accepted our
submission of the Libby app to the Amazon Appstore so the OverDrive app
will remain available for Kindle Fire users to download and access until
further notice. Users with Kindle Fire devices can also sideload Libby
manually following these steps
