Hello, ODLC members,
ODLC Executive Committee members met with representatives from the largest ODLC member libraries and OverDrive reps yesterday about the ongoing increased use across the consortium, how that affects holds wait times, and strategies we could implement to increase library and patron satisfaction.
We know many of you utilize your Advantage/Advantage Plus accounts to mitigate issues, and we'd like to gather some information from you to determine if there are commonalities or strategies that we could implement across the consortium.

1. What guidelines does your library use when determining whether to purchase Advantage/Advantage Plus titles (e.g., holds ratio, adding breadth to your collection)?

A: We purchase based on hold ratio and purchase suggestions.

2. For those of you who purchase with an Advantage account, please share what ODLC could do to convince your library to purchase with an Advantage Plus account.

A: We purchase with Advantage Plus

3. Does your library have a policy or procedure to delete holds on your print titles after a certain period of time? For example, a library deletes holds after one year. If so, please share details.

A: We don't have a policy of deleting holds on print titles after a period of time. We only delete holds when we are unable to provide the material, ie. Damaged or lost and not able to be replaced.

Please respond by end of day Friday, August 2.

Thank you!
