[OGIC] OGIC October Meeting Highlights

Good morning OGIC members.

I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving holiday.  Since we had quite a number of OGIC members miss the October meeting, I thought I'd provide a quick summary of important decisions along with a couple of key presentations.

Key Decisions

  1.  Final tables regarding the Framework Data Inventory were approved.
  2.  Our new Chair-Elect for 2024 is Chris Wright, representing State Agencies.
  3.  OGIC approved a set of budget allocations for the OGIC fund in order to better support our priorities and manage the fund as a whole. The four allocations are:
     *   $150K for data development grant projects
     *   $150K for federal/other projects requiring a state match
     *   $150K to assist with data sharing appeals/concerns raised by data custodians
     *   $50K for miscellaneous expenses
  4.  OGIC approved a set of performance measures for the remainder of the 2023-24 Work Plan.


Presentations
Two important presentations were given: 1) the recently launched Statewide Parcels Initiative, and 2) an overview of Imagery in Oregon and the challenges of the imagery program.   These two presentations are attached for your review.  Please let me know if you have any questions.
