Personally, from a graphics standpoint, nothing can touch Apple. They are more reliable and the standard. 

On the other hand, if all the person is going to do is make up newsletters and simple stuff like that a PC with Photoshop, Illustrator and Publisher would be fine.

These days laptops in either format are fine, especially with a docking station available.

The Salem Downtown Partnership will be hiring staff soon. In preparation, they are getting an office put together and would like advice on whether an Apple or PC is better based on the experience from our network. They do want the person to have some graphic design skills. Also, laptop vs desktop?
