1. Excellence in Downtown Revitalization Award Nominations due July 26, 2013.
Did you have a creative special event last year? A successful membership campaign? Outstanding facade project? Innovative new business open? We want to recognize your efforts! Nominations now being accepted for Oregon Main Streets's "Excellence in Downtown Revitalization" awards.  All levels of  participants in the Oregon Main Street network may submit applications. To be eligible, all projects, activities, or events submitted for recognition mush have been completed between July 1, 2012 and June 30, 2013. Nominations must be received by 5 p.m. on July 26, 2013. See the attached RFP that includes the nomination form and submittal information.
 
2. Vote for Coos Bay and Corvallis in "Main Street Matters"Benjamin Moore is hosting a "Main Street Matters" program where they have committed to repainting 20 main street areas across the United States and Canada. Coos Bay and Corvallis have been chosen as two of the cities that you can vote on to be chosen as one of the 20 main street areas to be painted. One vote per IP address can be submitted each day through June 30. Once the 20 main streets are selected, the public will be able to follow the progress of the painting. All of the projects will be completed over the next year with the help of local Benjamin Moore retailers and painting contractors.
