Hello,

We are supporting a project the University of Oregon's Community Service Center will be conducting beginning this fall to gather information about historic theaters (both film and performing). We need your help to provide contact information for the historic theaters in your community. The info we need at the present is:

*         Name, mailing address, email, and phone number of the theater owner (both the building owner and theater operator if these are different)

*         Name of theater

*         Address of theater

*         Use of theater (e.g., film or performing)

The overarching goal of this project is to promote the renovation and use of historic theaters as community assets. Expanding use beyond local markets will be key to the success of many historic theaters. Project objectives include:

*         Inventory historic theaters.

*         Assess needs of Oregon's historic theaters.

*         Identify opportunities to leverage resources.

*         Develop programs and coordinated delivery of services to encourage restoration, maintenance, and continued operation.

*         Identify opportunities to use historic theaters to attract business travel and tourism activity
