Oregon's RBEG program provides small grants (typically $20,000 to $30,000) to nonprofit economic development groups, public bodies and tribes for precisely targeted technical assistance, training and other activities to support the development of small, private business enterprises in rural areas. RBEG funds are allocated through two funding pools: a general pool and a Native American pool.

USDA Rural Development seeks RBEG concept papers for economic development projects in Oregon
The USDA Rural Development Oregon State Office is soliciting concept papers for fiscal year 2014 for the Rural Business Enterprise Grant (RBEG) program*.  Specific details and program contacts can be found online for two separate RBEG competitions. 
Concept papers for the Native American funding pool of RBEG in Oregon are due to the Oregon State Office by 5:00 pm (Pacific Time), Wednesday, February 12, 2014. Click here to view the call for concept papers (Native American). 
Concept papers for the general funding pool of RBEG in Oregon are due to the Oregon State Office by 5:00 pm (Pacific Time), Friday, February 28, 2014. Click here to view the call for concept papers (general funding).

For projects outside of Oregon...
