Restore Oregon uses Salesforce.com for managing all our contacts:  members, donors, volunteers, etc.  Its online, accessible to multiple users, and heavily discounted to non-profits.  It may be overkill for a smaller organization, though.

Can you send something over the listserv or do you have any recommendations for a way of keeping track of volunteers (skills, interests, availability, etc.)? Whether it's through an online database, excel spreadsheets, volunteer software, anything else I'm not thinking of.
