1.       The June 2 application deadline for the the National Trust Preservation Funds is just around the corner.  Grants from the National Trust Preservation Funds encourage preservation at the local level by providing seed money for planning and education projects.  Grants range up to $5,000 and require a dollar-for-dollar match. Full eligibility requirements and grant guidelines, along with a link to our application, can be found at http://www.preservationnation.org/funding. 2.       Rethinking Streets. Good streets are good places, too - public places where people meet, sit and socialize, conduct business, wander about, play, and more. "Rethinking Streets," a new report by the University of Oregon's Sustainable Cities Initiative, provides detailed information on 25 complete streets and streetscaping projects from around the country that may inspire you to reimagine your Main Street. Projects focus on localities with a demonstrated need for assistance, where planning resources and expertise may not otherwise be available.
