Perfect - I think the Greek food has more food choices for the non-meat eaters in the group.

Why don't you post your question over the listeserve re: cigarette butt receptacles?

Hello Sheri,

Either of these sound great to me! (I would lean to the Greek place, but am fond of beer too)

Also, just got out of our Design Committee Meeting and wanted to ask you about cigarette butt recepticles that other Main Street Communities have found helpful to keep their downtowns looking beautiful. We are leaning toward the newer kind that are very narrow at the top and might match the look and feel of our black benches and light posts.

Do you know of a city that I could learn from?

Ok - so it looks like we have a good contingent meeting up for dinner. I am exploring some options but here's a couple that might be of interest - thoughts?

Pegasus Taverna: http://pegasustavernas.com
For more than two decades, Pegasus has set the standard for the unforgettable Greek dining experience. Repeatedly named the best Greek restaurant in metro Detroit, family-owned Pegasus offers traditional Greek cuisine in a fun, casual atmosphere. From its huge open kitchen to the generous portions and charismatic wait staff, Pegasus is the perfect setting for a family dinner or special gathering, while retaining the intimacy appropriate for a romantic evening as well.

Detroit Beer Company: http://www.detroitbeerco.com
Opened in September 2003, the Detroit Beer Co. occupies the first two floors of the recently restored Hartz Building on Broadway in Downtown Detroit. The historic setting, combined with state-of-the-art brewing technology and 21st century finishes provides a unique dining experience. Seating is available on both floors and can be reserved for special events. The menu features a broad selection of eclectic American cuisine, all prepared with the freshest ingredients. From delectable appetizers, fresh salads, pizzas and pastas to delicious entrees and unique sandwiches, the menu has something for everyone and a kids menu is available.

Importance: High

Hello to all who are Detroit bound!

Just wanted to follow-up to see if you want me to coordinate a dinner while at the National Main Street conference in Detroit. When I initially sent out an email a little over a month ago, I only heard back from a couple people (Rod, Jamie, Greg). I am fine either way, but did want to coordinate a dinner so folks from Oregon could get together if you want. The best day for this would be on Monday at 7 pm after the Exhibitor's Reception. Attached is a list of restaurants the Michigan folks put together.

Let me know if:

1. You want to go to dinner

2. If you have a preference on restaurants within walking distance of the conference hotel

I will be making a reservation in the next couple days for those who do want to get together.

Thanks, Sheri
