FYI - just received this flyer: Healthy Communities Speaker Series, which will feature James Sallis, Director of Active Living Research at UC-San Diego, Wednesday evening at Willamette Univ- See attached flyer for more info. Given all the talk these days about the costs of physical inactivity/obesity to the health care system, the walkability of downtown main streets has something to offer to those clamoring for a built environment that enables simple physical exercise.  Like walking.
