We did these decals on the sidewalk. They have been marginally effective, but have given law enforcement another tool.

I had international "NO" symbols made from 3-M material (with likeness of a skateboard & bicycle) attached at each corner of Downtown sidewalks.

Does anyone have a good example of an attractive “no biking/no skating on the sidewalk” sign? I’m looking for either a standard sign, or preferably some kind of painted or thermal striped sign on the sidewalk.

Our city already prohibits biking and skateboarding on the sidewalks downtown but there are no signs and it’s not enforced. We’re starting to get a lot of sidewalk seating areas in front of bars and restaurants (which is good) and it is shrinking the available space for through traffic. With the narrower spaces we would like to start enforcing the rules but need good signage before the police are willing to cite people. Any advice on style or venders?

Thanks

Shawn
