Good news to share...Congrats to Rebecca! Plus there is now an opening for an Events and Promotions Coordinator in McMinnville (see attached job announcement).

Rebecca Quandt to take over as MDA manager

"On behalf of the board of directors, we are pleased to announce Rebecca Quandt as the next manager of the McMinnville Downtown Association," said MDA president Kyle Faulk. "Her leadership, vision and work ethic align well with the values of the MDA. There are many exciting changes occurring in our local community, and we are confident Rebecca is the right person to lead the MDA into the future."

Quandt, currently the assistant manager of the association, was up against a field of well-qualified candidates from across the country. But the search committee, made up of the MDA board and other community members, including city manager Martha Meeker and chamber president Nathan Knottingham, concluded she was the best person for the job.

She holds an undergraduate degree in urban planning and economic development from University of Washington, and a masters in historic preservation from Clemson University. Named the chamber's 2015 emerging leader, she has immersed herself in the community since her arrival in June 2014. She takes over as manager upon the retirement of Cassie Sollars on March 4.

"Simply put, we expect great things from Rebecca," said Faulk.
