[OMS_MANAGERS] Question

Hey Kendall,
You might want to look at the Oregon Folklife Network's Culture Keepers Roster http://ofn.uoregon.edu/roster/oregon_folk_artist_roster.php for folk and traditional artists, several of whom are from Klamath County and K-Falls in particular (you can search by county, and we are still entering several from Klamath County).
You could do a series of 1-2 hour programs--make sure you have microphones set up, seating (or make it clear that folks should bring their own lawn chairs), and create a poster with the entire series.
Newspapers prefer publicizing a full series rather than a bunch of one-off events.
You can do music as well as craft and/or food demos. The latter work well with the person having examples of the food done at various stages and with demonstrating the tricky stuff; having recipes to hand out is also great (see attached).
And note that your County Cultural Coalition http://www.klamathculture.org/ has funding for such programming.
Best,
Riki

Subject: [OMS_MANAGERS] Question
Hello everyone! We just finished construction on a “Pocket Park” in downtown Klamath Falls. Our goal is to program the park as much as possible to keep the good vibe. Do any of your communities have general guidelines for performances in small park areas?
Look forward to seeing you all in Oregon City!
