Just a reminder the deadline to submit your letter of intent for the new Rural Opportunity Initiative through Business Oregon is next week, December 20th. This seems to be a good match for our main street towns in communities with population of 30,000 or less. Awards will range from $5,000 to $100,000. A total of $725,000 is available in three funding categories:
Concept – the starting point to building broader community support
Launch – rallying community through action
Scale – scaling up to make a major investment in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Deadline Extension for Letters of Intent
Completed Letter of Intent forms are now due by noon on December 20, 2017, this is a change from the original December 1 deadline.

Please keep in mind when looking over ROI resources that the examples of eligible activities listed per category of funding are non-exhaustive lists and suggestions only. Please align your activities with the overall community goals for how best to strengthen and support entrepreneurs and entrepreneurism.
