Hi:

I'm doing a survey regarding public parking in downtowns.  I was hoping that you could take the time in answer a few questions.


  1.  Does your city have a time limit on on-street public parking in the downtown area? If so what is your time limits? Yes, generally 2 hours, some 10 hours


  1.  Does your city have dedicate enforcement staff of these time limits?  If not, how are the parking limits enforced?  If so, do you know how enforcement is funded? No. After several parking meetings, downtown Canby businesses asked us not to enforce. They stressed the importance of having a "customer friendly" downtown, and feared parking enforcement would discourage people from coming downtown.


  1.  Does your city own public parking lots within the downtown?  If so:


     *   Does the public parking lots have a time limit? If so, what are the limits? Yes - some 4 hours, some 10 hours, some none
     *   Do you actively enforcement within the parking lot? No
     *   How is the maintenance of the parking lots funded? General fund through Public Works.


  1.  Does your city sell parking permits for Downtown? If so, what is the cost of the permit(s), and what does permit(s) allow? No


  1.  Does your community have its own enforcement or is by a third party provider?  No


  1.  Does your city issue residential parking permits for the Downtown?  If so, what is the cost of the permit?  IF not, how is parking for the downtown residence organized? No
