[OMS_MANAGERS] Facebook Page Policy

For Klamath Falls Downtown Association – we do not have written policies. I guess because our current set up seems to be working.
Admin Roles – limited to me and a handful of board members. We have an unwritten rule that our ED (me) is responsible for social media management, and the other Admins are “backup”. This ensures a consistent voice, relevant content, and appropriate timing. It also ensures that calendared content doesn’t get stepped on by a random post.
Content – I use a social media calendar to plan content so we keep a consistent pace and don’t forget anything. We do post community news if it impacts downtown, but there are plenty of sites already collecting that information. Business advertisements will be posted if they are tied to a holiday, a KFDA event/promotion, or for major events (grand openings, etc.). And I very rarely post promotional content from businesses who are not KFDA members unless it is a public service or the organization is a nonprofit.
Me too, Katie – curious how others are doing it!
Thanks,
D

Subject: [OMS_MANAGERS] Facebook Page Policy
Hi All,
One of our Main Street towns asked us to forward the following question to the listserv:
Does anyone have guidelines or policies for their use of their facebook page for:
1. Admin Roles
2. Content-Do you just post community news and/or business advertisements? If you do post business specials and events, do you have any parameters for those, for instance do you limit how many times per month a business gets to post ads.
I will admit that I too am curious about your answers to this question!
Best,
Katie
