WELCOME TO NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS IN HILLSBORO, LA GRANDE, AND ROSEBURG!

Please join me in welcoming the following folks who are joining our Main Street “family!”

 

Elisa Joy (EJ) Payne is the new, interim executive director with the Hillsboro Downtown Partnership. She has been a key volunteer for the organization and comes with a wealth of practical project management, fundraising, event planning, and small business development experience. Lori McKay is the new executive director with La Grande Main Street Downtown as of yesterday! She has over twenty years with professional office and administrative experience. Her contact is: director at lagrandemainstreet.org 

 

Susie Johnston-Forte is the new executive director with the Downtown Roseburg Association as of today! She has a long history in non-profit management, fundraising, and event planning. Her contact is: downtownroseburg at gmail.com 

 

OREGON HERITAGE EXCHANGE FEATURES UPPER FLOOR HOUSING PROJECT IN DOWNTOWN REEDSPORT

Last year was the first year of awarding for the Oregon Main Street Revitalization Grant program. Reedsport Main Street was awarded a grant to rehabilitate five upstairs apartments in the Burdick building downtown. Bringing apartments into Downtown will increase the number of people who shop in local stores and eat and drink at local restaurants. EXCELLENCE IN DOWNTOWN REVITALIZATION AWARDS – DEADLINE EXTENDED TO SUNDAY, JULY 29. 

We will give you a few extra days to submit the Excellence in Downtown Revitalization Award nominations. They are now due on Sunday, July 29, at midnight (since I will be working out of the office and won’t be here to process the nominations, I thought it might help to give you the extra time J). Please submit the nomination form (see attached) and 3 images in jpeg format via email to me, sheri.stuart at oregon.gov.
