Just a reminder that the next round of Oregon Main Street Revitalization Grant applications will open in January. We will be hosting a workshop in Salem to go over the application process on January 25. We will be posting updated guidelines soon on our webpage (oregonheritage.org), but they won't differ too much from the current guidelines (the main difference will be raising the maximum grant to $200,000).

Now is the time for your board to set goals for your revitalization effort and to identify a process for selecting the most competitive project to submit. From the first round of grants, the most compelling projects to the review committee were projects that were clearly aligned with overall revitalization goals for the downtown and where there was a clear process for how the board selected the project to submit for grant funding (in addition to project readiness). Attached is the worksheet we distributed in advance of the first round of grants - we thought it might be a helpful tool for your board to use as they think through projects to submit in the next round.
