[OMS_MANAGERS] Tree Lighting Advice Sought in Main Street District or Downtown

Fellow Main Streeters

The City of Woodburn is planning to light up its trees along Front Street in downtown.  We are attempting to get an idea of how other communities have accomplished this feat.

Would you please share the following information:

*         What organization(s) were involved in getting your downtown trees lit up (i.e. sponsorship, funding, etc.)?

*         How many trees did you light up?

*         Did you hire a contractor to hang the lights or did volunteers do the work?

o   If you hired a contractor, would you share who it was you used and if you were satisfied working with them?

o   Also, what did they charge you to install them?

o   Can you share a couple of photos of the final results?

*         What length of light strands did you use (25', 50' 100', 300', etc.)?

*         Any lessons learned we should be aware of?
