[OMS_MANAGERS] Creating a Historic District

Just going to get up on my soap box for a minute - I wasn't around when
they did the streetscape renovation in 2012, but I desperately wish they
had run electrical underground and to the treewells. It would make events
and projects so much easier to manage if there was consistent power. We
also have tree lights year round which cost $15-20k annually to maintain
and it's a project that honestly probably shouldn't have happened without
that power. Now we spend thousand a year and have no reliable power, gfi
switch problems, wires hanging off roofs, etc. It's a major regret that the
City didn't spend the money to do it at the time when they ripped up the
streets. If you have the money and opportunity and political willpower to
do it, I highly recommend it. It would save us thousands of dollars and
hundreds of man hours. EVERY YEAR... ok, off my soap box now.
