1. Here is the link to the Klamath IDEA Info - the wrong link was sent in the notes from the weekly Mornings on Main call: https://www.klamathidea.org/resources/may-14th-virtual-reopening-summit. Also, here's the info Ginger mentioned on the call on a potential supplier for reusable face masks: Vanson's. Contact Kim van der Sleesen 508-678-2000 Masks are $3 each plus shipping. Takes about 3 days to ship.
1. Attached please find some helpful info re: the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance program for sole proprietors, self-employed people, gig workers, etc. Also, I heard in two separate meetings that there is still approximately $100 million in the second round of PPP funding.
1. Outdoor Dining:
* Bend: The Bend City Council discussed additional outdoor capacity for businesses and just decided to:
* Allow City Manager, acting under the emergency declaration, to allow expansion of business sidewalk tables/displays, and use of private parking lots for seating
* Allow staff to solicit input from businesses citywide for temporary street closures for expanded seating and/or retail activities. There was agreement that this needs to be driven by businesses, not mandated by Council. The goal is to have this in place as soon as feasible, and staff has discretion to design a program based on business input. This motion passed 5-2.
* Article about other cities enacting measures to allow dining in public streets: http://www.longbeach.gov/mayor/news/openstreetsinlb/
