Hi All,

An embarrassing amount of months ago we talked about creating an Oregon Main Street Network Portal online and I'm happy to report that I was able to get the start of that online.

How do you access it?
If you head to www.oregonmainstreet.org<http://www.oregonmainstreet.org> you will see on the righthand side an orange-ish color "button" that says Oregon Main Street Managers Portal that is hyperlinked to the page. Now, basically anyone can access it. The goal was to make it look like only main street network folks can access it. It will take you this page<https://www.oregon.gov/oprd/OH/Pages/OMSNetworkPortal.aspx> which you can bookmark. However, you will always be able to access it from the main OMS page.

How is it organized?
Right now we have it/will have it organized in three sections:

  *   Oregon Main Street - You will notice that this is the first section I have up. It has network info that we usually send over the listserv but not you can easily find it on this page in perpetuity. Report info, handbook, awards info, network contact, etc.
  *   Nonprofit Operation - this will have best practices on nonprofit operations. It is currently coming soon and I'll probably be populating this one next.
  *   Best Practices/Examples by Point - This is also coming soon as we try and get some electronic examples uploaded to it. It will be a work in progress until we can get back into the office and go through some of our physical files for some additional examples but we can populate it with stuff we have in our electronic files.

You will notice that you can access the awards information on there so this is a shameless reminder to look at that and be sure to check it out and get those nominations submitted! Deadline is July 12.

Also, one of my favorite features is the calendar widget on the righthand side of the page. If you are wondering when quarterly reports are due or when, where, how the next quarterly meeting is, this calendar will have those dates. We are currently reworking the quarterly meeting schedule/content in light of everything so definitely stay tuned.
