All are communities are so much on my mind this weekend as wildfires touch the lives of so many Oregonians. Many of our Network communities are in under evacuation orders and our thoughts are with them. Below and attached is some information on ways to assist, what actions are being taken, and ways to prepare your organizations. Take good care and join our weekly call if you are able....Best, Sheri

Governor's Regional Solutions: Regional Solutions (RS) is working with local leaders to address immediate on the ground needs related to wildfire while continuing to address COVID-19. The Governor will mobilize her Disaster Recovery Cabinets to coordinate and streamline agency response. Regional Solutions will help to coordinate wildfire recovery work on the ground. Coordinators are already engaging and helping to convene local partners to help where we can in response, while beginning to develop a recovery approach based on Regional Solutions previous experience with wildfires and other disasters. For more information on Regional Solutions, please follow this link. Please continue to coordinate with your county emergency managers and check for updates on https://wildfire.oregon.gov/. Attached is a digest of Oregon wildfire and smoke information and resources

What Your Nonprofit Can Do - Advice from NAO on response to Wildfires:

  * Be ready to evacuate if the order is given and ensure your staff and volunteers are ready as well. Keep them and your nonprofits as safe and ready as possible! Here are some helpful steps and resources to use and stay updated:

  * Most importantly - Stay Calm. Your family, team and the community needs your leadership now. I know that this is going to be tough on the heels of the months of COVID-19 stress, but try to fight the urge to give into this additional stressor. You can do this!
* Keep track of wildfires near you. Sign up for emergency notifications. Most counties in Oregon have a network that you can sign up to receive alerts in case you need to evacuate. Here is an example<http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?f=001N51e4RwRiR0QKVpnONXlwtTPu-BD70x6TLTg4doB1IgOSpYXCdwVdrQiXO7CLK9R3vK0eXacQDwips7INgYvic29zlwdoRVquwDQUWytXKkksbBdPhtvC3-ll6OxCmXVJ7xkQbVf3w-zEfNvRVQLbnKNJhE5751c&c=EhXr3ZNpjwI8L8OXLuedszqIYpiXy1_IVivgv-5Cjag20bjVYcuSCw==&ch=NcjLBJI3RPocpzAstlCxgqGqMVDrcpXrk1djBkBEy2ESY13OFk4org==> for the area of the Upper Willamette Valley. You can also track Oregon Smoke Information updates via an interactive map<http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?f=001N51e4RwRiR0QKVpnONXlwtTPu-BD70x6TLTg4doB1IgOSpYXCdwVdrQiXO7CLK9RKp9WgDtwRtv3niiH8n5hqgTIY1hZaMjjSZFOMy5In5iraxrMa4tB-gNIBfGHPFh6GSB9442EYcth_coQGZf2dx37arcExP0OF2nj_9hVw9RSALBWxA-x_nyo7YbfGLmGkqq-JqAy_-6Lm_yzZco3PASGR4Tqam9TydCOQCF0FXT20HYLjcRuHF5HdMa_LYvJTvwgxweIfG6tNnvIcsyFIOkPT4Xk14U3R5IfVA--WTAloMNpKHOdMRfKMSERmrdWCT898kqMtJOVehd4y6ygUZYYCu5GBv3FHUBkCgEeIrklTwyZ1ZSsWFLhFnn5YxOqZeQe-DbtJWwAnQarFC5tevBynbDHqGbIxzC-1Y5W-1JKNfmohOPXNDEhjgqkgvh463YAbyTS7n-uannqj4e0lH2jzRoqUbyACmzBQaPsl3s=&c=EhXr3ZNpjwI8L8OXLuedszqIYpiXy1_IVivgv-5Cjag20bjVYcuSCw==&ch=NcjLBJI3RPocpzAstlCxgqGqMVDrcpXrk1djBkBEy2ESY13OFk4org==> with the locations of current fires and the latest information about air quality advisories.
* Have an established phone tree within your organization to keep each other aware of changes in your team's situation. Because so many of us are working from home we may not be in direct communication as frequently. Be sure to check in with all team members once a day to see if anything has changed for them. Make sure everyone understands to prioritize getting to safety if an evacuation order is called, but once in a safe location, to alert your organization on the changes in their status and location.
* Many roads may be closed due of the fires and conditions can change rapidly. If you can, stay home; if you must travel, please check Oregon Department of Transportation's TripCheck<http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?f=001N51e4RwRiR0QKVpnONXlwtTPu-BD70x6TLTg4doB1IgOSpYXCdwVdrQiXO7CLK9RbUR2vM9e1CBtcDeSkhlj2YmQEkELUlAk-IT9Vs-PCAeQwNyVi9sWA_DSSzy8dx-6vIrYyJ_Vwww1LB2pmzyqcQ==&c=EhXr3ZNpjwI8L8OXLuedszqIYpiXy1_IVivgv-5Cjag20bjVYcuSCw==&ch=NcjLBJI3RPocpzAstlCxgqGqMVDrcpXrk1djBkBEy2ESY13OFk4org==> for the latest conditions before you go anywhere.
* Tips on preparing for an evacuation and other resources can be found on Project Wildfire's website<http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?f=001N51e4RwRiR0QKVpnONXlwtTPu-BD70x6TLTg4doB1IgOSpYXCdwVdrQiXO7CLK9RSAQjN-OoZKX8DQvNqAM7LYnr5Ph9tNX9boeuK1yxULhu2-CdwGKY9g3GYtFtgv_cbHCD4uxGtHIWHtOh2WnxgROEcQUREVYU&c=EhXr3ZNpjwI8L8OXLuedszqIYpiXy1_IVivgv-5Cjag20bjVYcuSCw==&ch=NcjLBJI3RPocpzAstlCxgqGqMVDrcpXrk1djBkBEy2ESY13OFk4org==>.
