On Tuesday, March 2 at 11 a.m., join Travel Oregon CEO, Todd Davidson, along with Adam Sacks, President of Tourism Economics and Travel Oregon staff for a virtual update on the state of the tourism industry and recovery programs and strategies. The address will cover international and national travel impacts and consumer sentiments, Travel Oregon’s biennial forecast for fiscal year 21-23, Travel Oregon’s suite of investments and programming focused on recovery and the agency’s strategic planning efforts.

New Online Course: Providing Service While Supporting Safety: Guest Service Tips During COVID-19 Challenges
This online video-based course, available 24/7 from any device, was developed by the Oregon Hospitality Foundation<https://t.e2ma.net/click/p3mewf/x162xs/h52tprb> (OHF) with input from hospitality industry partners. The course was created to help support business owners and employees with ideas for managing service challenges specific to the pandemic, such as communication compliance, credibility and creating a positive experience while still adhering to health and safety protocols. Segments take as little as 10 minutes to view and can be completed separately. Sponsors include Travel Oregon, Dutch Bros Coffee, epb&b insurance, SAIF, BC Consulting, FPW Media, Hospitality by Torres, and Togather Restaurant Consulting.

Oregon Wine Symposium, Feb. 16-19

Each year, the Oregon Wine Board works with industry volunteers who comprise its Education Committee to carefully evaluate and design the curriculum around the most pressing needs of the industry. The needs assessment comes from survey input, qualitative feedback, and marketplace trend analysis.

Western Rivers Conservancy Launches Great Rivers Web Series
Beginning March 3, Western River Conservancy<https://t.e2ma.net/click/p3mewf/x162xs/5v7tprb> will launch a new eight-part web series, Great Rivers of the West. Throughout the series, author and conservationist, Tim Palmer, will look at rivers across the West with a focus on conversation and recreation.
