my only caution is to not bet that our state/counties/cities will be
allowing public events or that you'll be able to get permits, another risk
is to spend a bunch of money and time only to have to suddenly cancel or
shut down due to Covid at the County or state level.

This is why Alberta Main Street is not holding our Street Fair again this
summer. I'm not willing to spend staff time or hire an event coordinator,
have other money go out the door to insurance, marketing, vendors,
deposits, security, etc only to have to cancel.

Not to be a Debbie Downer or anything, but we keep seeing districts here
spending time and money and applying for events only to be denied or told
last minute they have to cancel. Every City/town/county is different though
so I wish you the best of luck. I love a good carnival. Mmmm...fried
elephant ears.
