As a side note, our Fairgrounds has hosted 'fair food' booths (corn dogs,
curly fries, funnel cake) during various weekends over the past year, and
it has been pretty successful. It gives people the taste of the fair
without having to put on a whole event, and has been fairly easy for them
to hold with COVID-precautions!
It might be something that your Council is willing to consider in place of
a full carnival!
