Hi all - I sat in on the session to preview the new Main Street Online tool the National Main Street Center created with GoDaddy and Beyond Main (a hyperlocal e-commerce site) this morning. It is pretty awesome. When a local business logs on to the site, they are guided through a series of questions just like if they were sitting down with a business advisor (which could be particularly helpful in really rural areas). At the end, they will receive a customized report that they can print as a pdf or have emailed to them with recommendations on accounting, website, e-commerce, etc. NMSC has a 2nd session next week in case you want to sit in. I am also sharing widely with economic development districts, SBDCs, Business Oregon, etc. so they are aware of both this platform and the new Entrepreneur Ecosystem guide (attached).

I think one of the roles for our local main street organizations is to make your business owners aware of this tool and then to help connect them with resources that might exist to implement any of the recommendations the business owner might receive.
